THE 6-POINT SKILLED MIGRANT RESIDENT VISA 

A new 6-point system has been introduced for the Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) Resident Visa on 9 October 2023, to replace the old 180-point system. The 6-point system sets a clear skill threshold for residence, but offers several ways for people to demonstrate their skill level. Applicants must have at least 6 points to be eligible. You can claim points based on your qualifications, occupation, and income.
